CaN Internship Project (SIP)

The SCaN Internship Project (SIP) is a paid internship hosted by NASA’s Headquarters in Washington, DC; NASA’s Glenn Research Center in Cleveland, OH; NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, MD; NASA’s White Sands Complex in White Sands, NM; and the Alaska Satellite Facility in Fairbanks, AK. SIP is open to students 16 or older who are pursuing a career in space communications and navigation, or have an interest in these areas.

The Futures and Options Internship Program provides students from New York City with critical work-readiness training and opportunities to gain firsthand work experience as interns with a dynamic range of business partners. BioBus High School Internship

Interns will receive training and mentorship from research scientists, while developing their own independent projects using research-grade equipment, participate in outreach events, and gain science communication skills. Interns will be paid by the hour.

CDC Museum Disease Detective Camp

CDC Museum Disease Detective Camp (DDC) is an interdisciplinary educational program organized by the CDC Museum. DDC reflects the museum’s mission of educating the public about CDC’s work. This academic day camp is held at CDC headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia. Admission is open to high-school students during the summer before their junior or senior years. During camp students are immersed in the diverse field of public health.

Young Scholars Program

The Cooke Young Scholars Program is a selective five-year, pre-college scholarship for high-performing 7th grade students with financial need. It provides comprehensive academic and college advising, as well as financial support for school, Cooke-sponsored summer programs, internships, and other learning enrichment opportunities.

Fred Hutch Summer High School Internship Program

The Summer High School Internship Program (SHIP) is a competitive, eight-week, full-time paid internship for rising 12th graders. The program is specifically designed for students from backgrounds underrepresented in biomedical science. Selected interns attend an orientation day, then begin the internship with one week of hands-on training on laboratory safety techniques and skills in the Fred Hutch Training Labs. For the remaining seven weeks, interns are paired and immersed in mentored activities in a Fred Hutch research group in Seattle.

MIT Online Science, Technology, and Engineering Community (MOSTEC)

The six-month MIT Online Science, Technology, and Engineering Community (MOSTEC) program serves rising high school seniors from across the country – many of whom come from underrepresented or underserved communities. Students selected to participate in MOSTEC demonstrate in their applications a strong academic record and interest in science and engineering. The MOSTEC program begins the summer before students' senior year in high school and extends through students' first semester in 12th grade.

Current 10th-11th graders are invited to apply for participation in an authentic STEM research experience at a world-class research university for 6 weeks during the summer. You will gain hands-on experience in various STEM fields, such as cancer immunology, pharmacogenomics of anticancer agents, physics, biophysics, bioengineering, electrical engineering, computer engineering, aerospace, and more!
