High School Health Careers Program

Descripion:

A free four-week residential program for high school sophomores and juniors hosted at UMass Boston. Students are exposed to several medical professions from job shadowing or internship positions. They also have many networking opportunities with doctors, scientists, and medical students.

Eligibility:

Applicants must be Massachusetts residents who are a US citizen or have permanent resident status. In addition, they must also be attending a high school in Massachusetts as a high school sophomore or junior. The application requires applicants to fall under one of the two conditions: under-represented individuals (African Americans, Latinos, Native Americans, and South East Asians) and /or disadvantaged individuals (educationally or economically).
