Step Up to STEM
Free week-long residential summer program where rising 9th or 10th graders develop their skills in math, science, and communications. Students are hosted by the North Carolina school of Matematics and Sciences, and can take advantage of several enrichment activities. Rising 9h graders lean about matheeatic puzzles and forensic science while rising 10th graders learn about disease research, viral genetics, and biotechology.
The application is open to current 8th-grade African American, Hispanic American, and Native American students who live in North Carolina.
